From June 24 to 27, 2025, visitors to the Laser World of Photonics trade show in Munich will be able to explore innovations and the comprehensive range of photonic solutions offered by Jenoptik, which enable new, more efficient, and more precise applications in various industries.

Jenoptik and its affiliated companies SwissOptic and TRIOPTICS will be showcasing specific offerings for future-oriented industries such as the semiconductor industry, optical data transmission, medical technology, AR/VR, photovoltaics, and 3D printing at booth B2.119 in hall 2.

“We are introducing two special innovations at this year’s event that combine our unique photonics expertise,” said Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit, member of the Executive Board of JENOPTIK AG and Jenoptik representative on the advisory board of the Laser World of Photonics trade fair. “This makes the systems more powerful, but also more robust and easier to handle. Solar cell production and endoscopic surgery will benefit most from these new cutting-edge offers we show.”

Further information about the trade fair can be found on our event website. Images are available in the Jenoptik image database in the Products gallery / Optics & Photonics.

Ready-to-install optical system for more efficient laser structuring of solar cells

Jenoptik will be presenting the new Modular Beam Splitting System MBSS live at its trade fair stand. This system offers solar cell and laser machine manufacturers a powerful, ready-to-install alternative to complex optical solutions. Designed for solar cell production, it combines micro-optical and optical components into a ready-to-install, process-stable solution. This means that it requires little commissioning and adjustment and is also highly flexible. A powerful beam splitter ensures excellent beam homogeneity across the entire field, enabling time-saving, parallel laser structuring for consistently high product quality and improved throughput.

Don't miss the Jenoptik presentation on this topic on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 2:20 p.m. CEST as part of the Laser Material Processing Forum.

New possibilities with multispectral lighting and imaging in endoscopic surgery

The combination of expertise in lighting and imaging has resulted in a new, customizable OEM light source designed specifically for endoscopic surgery. Complex procedures become easier, more precise, and safer thanks to clear visualization of the surgical field. The innovative features of the new light source include an adjustable color point, flexible fluorescence excitation, and image overlay, enabling new imaging modalities. The light source is expertly paired with advanced optical components and imaging solutions, even autoclavable for optimal sterility. The sophisticated design and the state-of-the-art manufacturing expertise put patient safety first and minimize the risk of infection.

Optoelectronic components enable further miniaturization

With high-precision optoelectronic components based on polymers, Jenoptik is enabling numerous new applications in medical technology and other areas especially enhanced by further miniaturization. The challenges here are not only the optical performance, which pushes the physical limits, but also the assembly of the smallest components, which Jenoptik has mastered.

Hear more about this in the Jenoptik presentation on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 4:40 p.m. as part of the Biophotonics and Medical Applications Forum | SPECTARIS Photonics for MedTec Application Panel.

Application-specific F-theta lenses for 3D printing and other future industries

With application-specific F-theta lenses, Jenoptik is addressing new markets such as photovoltaics, lithium battery production, and 3D printing. Following the introduction of two lenses with an extended scan field and long focal lengths for efficient solar cell structuring, Jenoptik is now presenting at Laser Munich the new F-theta lens JENar® APTAline® 639-1030...1080-580-AL, which was specially developed for the high-precision creation of complex structures in 3D printing, especially in selective laser sintering (SLS).

Optoelectronic test solution for photonic integrated circuits (PICs)

In the field of photonic integrated circuits, Jenoptik will demonstrate how the opto-electronic UFO Probe®Card can be used to advance the standardization of PIC test processes and thus accelerate the development of PICs for a wide range of applications, such as data communication, sensor technology, and medicine. Designed for high-volume wafer production, the Probe Card is available in cantilever or vertical versions, can be customized to customer specifications, and is already being used successfully by customers—even integrated into an automated test system (ATE).
