New CEO of JENOPTIK AG Dr. Dominic Dorfner to start in early August 2026

Dr. Dominic Dorfner will lead the photonics group Jenoptik together with Dr. Prisca Havranek-Kosicek and Dr. Ralf Kuschnereit as of August 1, 2026. At the end of March 2026, the Supervisory Board unanimously appointed him as the future CEO of JENOPTIK AG for a three-year term.

Dr. Dominic Dorfner, born in 1980, studied physics with a focus on semiconductors and bio-nanotechnology at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Illinois, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in the field of photonic biosensors. He began his professional career in strategic consulting at Roland Berger, focusing on industrial and high-tech companies. Since 2021, he has held leadership positions at Danfoss, most recently as President & CEO of Semikron Danfoss, a global leader in power electronics with annual revenue exceeding 1 billion euros and more than 4,000 employees.

The shareholders of JENOPTIK AG are gathering today in Jena for the Annual General Meeting. The meeting can be followed starting at 10 a.m. CEST on the Shareholder Portal. Alternatively, the public part of the Annual General Meeting will be streamed for the public on the German Jenoptik website.
