Vita

Dr. Dominic Dorfner, born in 1980, studied physics with a focus on semiconductors and bio-nanotechnology at the Technical University of Munich and in Illinois, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in the field of photonic biosensors.

Dr. Dominic Dorfner has extensive management experience in various roles. Most recently, he was President & CEO of Semikron Danfoss, a global leader in power electronics. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s global strategic and operational leadership. He held various positions at the Danfoss Group since 2021, including Senior Vice President of the Automotive Division and the Solutions & Systems Division. Prior to that, he spent over eight years at the Voith Group in various management roles, including responsibility for global production networks and value chains. He began his professional career in strategic consulting at Roland Berger, focusing on industrial and high-tech companies.

In March 2026, the Supervisory Board of JENOPTIK AG appointed Dr. Dominic Dorfner to become CEO of JENOPTIK AG for a three-year term. He assumed this office on August 1, 2026.
