Multi Chip Wafer Project: Design and produce your PoC LED samples for free!

We are implementing several designs from various project partners on 1 wafer to produce a maximum number of LED layout designs with the lowest production costs.

No initial costs to test design ideas

Small sample quantity development

2. Step - sample will be shipped (end of 2023)

Lower NRE for follow-up projects

3. Step - Follow up projects in 2024

How it works:

  • Send us up to 3 design ideas* (red reticle or symbol LEDs for sights / scopes)!
  • We harmonize all layouts to max. 4 different grid sizes on a wafer (1 per quarter)
  • We choose the designs to implement based on grid compatibility
  • We design and produce the customized chips
  • Sample chips will be assembled on Jenoptik standard PCBs (not on customized PCBs)
  • Samples are for free
  • Quantity of samples will be based on chip size, but roughly 30 pieces
